Our fishing lake is located on the western border of Veszprém-county, in the Marcal valley only 200 meters from the River Marcal. The lake’s area is 1.8 hectare and it was developed/established in 2007/2008.
Around the lake is a 15 hectare land with meadows and partially landscaped parts with public utilities. When developing the surroundings of the lake our main emphasis was on an unperturbed, high standard fishing and relaxing atmosphere. We put the fishing spots far enough from each other yet we are able to ensure that nearly fifty fishers at a time can enjoy the undisturbed joy of fishing. We took care of children’s and family members’ needs as well. There are cooking and BBQ areas, a well-supplied playground and grass field for ball games. For our disabled guests we have special spots for fishing with direct parking lots.
The northern part of the lake is ideal for competitions. It is unique in the area that we have a 200 meter long fishing track where the conditions are the same for everyone: same depth and tilt. Many successful and popular competitions have already proved the advantages of our fishing track.
The average depth of the lake is 3.2 meters but the deepest points can reach up to 4.2 meters. At the bottom there are clay and pebbles, and at certain areas peat.
There are minor underwater wells that break through the surface of the bottom thus feeding fresh water into the lake, and also creating small bubbles on the surface of the water which can be seen especially in the “bay” in lull. Thanks to that constant fresh supply of water the water-level fluctuation remained within 15 centimeters in the past few years. On top of that the temperature of the water is on a safe level even on the hottest summer days.
In May, 2011 we are expecting to open our new guest house, suitable for 9 people, with four bedrooms, a dining area and a living room. All rooms have their own separate entrance and bathroom.
